Please tell me I'm doing something wrong here...

I avoid doing subscription services for one-trick-ponies. Won't do Disney+ or HBO whatever-it-is and didn't do Paramount+. Then I see that Amazon is doing a special for the next two months. I sign up.

No Picard.
No Discovery.
No Strange New Worlds.

I can watch Lower Decks, but that's like saying, "I know you paid for filet mignon, here's some a hamburger, instead. Hey, man! It's 80% lean! Whattayawant???

Am I missing something here?

It's all over the place here in the Netherlands. Old Trek is on Netflix. SkyShowtime has SNW and the movies. Not sure which movies exactly. Amazon has season 1-3 of LD and the whole of Picard. As for now, no one has Discovery, Prodigy or LD season 4.

Buy the DVD sets. If this merger thing goes through, and is as bad as some people are saying it will be, you might want to do so while you still can.
Might yet do that. Just a few days and I'm already into season 3. It's really not as bad as so many people have said it is. I really like it.

I don't know if they still do it, but when I cancelled Paramount+ after the one week trial it gave me an additional 2 or 3 months for free.

My internet was too slow to stream, so I just buy the Blu-Rays when they come out.

People say 'it's only $12 a month,' but we really can't keep adding services on a retired income. We already have Netflix, Prime and Max, plus over $300 a month for cable/internet/phone service. It's... annoying, that Disney took the Marvel shows away from Netflix, because that was WHY we finally broke down and got Netflix, but there's so much more we like there, we're not going to give it up. I guess ya gotta draw the line somewhere (and no fahthah!).

We cut the cord in 2008. No cable. We get all we need paying for Netflix, Hulu, Paramount +, Peacock, Disney +, Prime.

We have a deal through Verizon where we get Disney +, Hulu, ESPN. And a deal through Walmart where we get Paramount +. The bundle deals save some money.

We still pay less than cable.
