Please Keep Out of Gay Bars and Clubs

I actually got around to reading the full article - I'd only previously been responding to the general topic at hand and hadn't read the link.
Now I have, and it basically says everything I've said anyway, so... yay me, I guess.

When I lived in the Midwest, I found the gay bars more fun than the straight ones. Straight bars in that part of the country are all just about the same: full of rednecks and alcoholics, meth addicts, country & western music, and all around just not at all appealing to someone like me.
The gay bars, on the other hand, tend to have better music, a more fun atmosphere, and far more interesting people. It's also amusing to be the one getting hit on, even if it's by guys.
In the NY/NJ area, I've mostly been to straight bars. I think the gay bars here might be a bit... intense for me. At least from what I've heard.

Of course men in general also make more and can afford to toss the cash around.
