A discussion came up at work and we haven't been able to find an answer so I thought you guys could help...
We were talking about how many times planets were physically visited on TOS vs TNG.
A co-worker thinks that in TOS, they visited planets more often per episode than TNG.
I wasn't able to find any discussion on the interwebs about this thus far.
The terms we came up with were if an away team visited 5 times in one episode, that this would only count as 1 and while orbiting a planet would not count.
However, if someone has already compared visit differently, we would accept this, no need to re-invent the wheel.
