PKE Meter Prop Replica! Awesome!

I saw a really good review of it online about a week ago and thought it was really freaking cool. I might consider getting one. As for a proton pack or ghost trap, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Now that's a welcome surprise. I had no idea they were going to make any prop replicas. I would have expected Diamond to do that type of thing with the license.

As for a proton pack or ghost trap, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Sadly, I'd have to agree, especially with the proton pack.

But an Ecto-1 with lights and sound to scale with the figures doesn't sound too crazy right? (Yeah, I know the figures won't fit inside due to the packs, but still ;))

EDIT: It seems that a lot of international fans are screwed, as there a bunch of countries they can't ship it to. :(

I would love an Ecto-1 similar to what you suggest...I wouldn't rule that out. Matty has been hinting at a Castle Greyskull release next year which would be their first really huge playset release to my knowledge so if that sells well we could see additional props for Ghostbusters.

I don't think a trap is out of the picture, they're not too big. I do agree though; a proton pack would be a might expensive thing and most folks would not be able to obtain it.

I'm just so glad they're finally making awesome quality GB products.

This PKE meter, I had heard about Master Replicas pursuing such back in 06 or so, before they went under. When they died, I presumed so too did the PKE meter. I was shocked and thrilled when I got an e-mail from MattyCollector saying such was coming out, and really pleased with the price. Anyone who buys prop replicas knows, $150 is cheap, $300 is normal. So $60 is a steal, especially considering all it does and the reviews I've seen of it.

I bought two; one to display, one in box. I've only bought 1 of most of the figures, for preservation purposes.

I also hope they do a re-release at some point of the 1:21 scale die-cast Ecto 1. I got one back for $30 when they came out. Now days? $200+ on eBay. I'd buy a dozen if they ever re-released, lol.

For any Euro that really wants it, I'm sure they'll find a way through second-party markets.

It's not so much about the size and cost of a ghost trap or proton pack...Matty seems to be really concerned over the last couple of years since MOTUC and their GB line came out about the sales of their products which is why they've put off a Castle Greyskull despite a high demand from the fans. I think the PKE meter prop will be a test bed as will CG if it comes out next year.
