Pixar's BRAVE teaser trailer released

Good scene. Looks less generic than the earlier trailers (but then, the advertising for Pixar movies is never that impressive, however great the films usually are).

I don't have a "Shut up and take my money" macro to hand at the moment but that pretty much sums it up. Damn them with their amazing, as Jetfire said, digital goddesses.

I'm a big Pixar fan, but I'm afraid this new trailer has made me lose interest in this movie completely.

Instead of the great sense of mystery and wonder we got in the teaser, it now looks like just another cutesy coming of age Disney movie, with one tired cliche after another.

Trailers are rarely comprehensive depictions of their films' entire content. They're tailored to focus on one aspect or another to target a particular audience. Since we've seen trailers that give a sense of mystery and wonder and trailers that focus more on the family and coming-of-age tropes and comedy, that tells us that the movie contains both elements.

And heck, I'd go see it purely for the accents and Merida's hair.

Thanks for the name and the video.
Looking up the singer, I see that she's also going to do a song for the soundtrack.

Really looking forward to this. I haven't heard if it's 3-D, but I'm assuming it is, so the Blu-ray's going to be cool at least.

The trailer had me the moment I heard Billy Connolly as the king.

I see where you're coming from, but I think the cliche stuff is just what they're using to sell the movie. I mean, there's this thing with a bear that keeps popping up in all the trailers, but so far it's pretty unexplained. I think whatever the curse Merida brings upon herself and her family is, that's where the real Pixar magic will shine. And it's the part we have only seen tiny glimpses of so far.

Not really a spoiler, but...
I think the curse will turn some or most of her family into these bears. At least that's what I thought when I saw her three little brothers and then the three little bears. So the really big bear will probably be her mother or father (I'm leaning more towards mother).

That seems to be the most obvious conclusion, based on the trailers.

Pixar does a pretty good job hiding the story from their trailers, while still giving a feel for the characters.

I think Merida has supplanted Rapunzel in my mind for "Best CGI-animated Hair." Rapunzel's had awesome length and versatility, but I love the complex mess of Merida's hair, and I just gotta go for the redhead.
