Pick your First officer

My first instinct was to pick Riker, because I relate to him best. But because I think I am a lot like him, I chose to go with Spock, who would compliment me well.
I'm going with Chakotay as he seemed to be a man of honour at times, and other times he'd fade away into the background while the captain, me, could do what he wanted.
I'd just have arguments with Kira, get annoyed at Riker hitting on the crew before I did, Spock would be way to better a commander than I would and it would annoy me and T'Pol would only temp when she's on the Pon Farr.

I picked the first officer from the best of the series, so that would be Kira
Wanted to pick T'Pol, but regulations prohibit fraternizing with subordinates. I requested that she be assigned as a Civilian adviser.
Spock would be a good compliment to my emotionalism, and would be very useful to neck pinch the various people I would piss off.

Spock is an excellent officer, but a little to cold and distant for me to get along with him well.

Chakotay and T'Pol are so laid back they make me a bit nervous.
I find Kira to be the person best suited to compliment my command style. She also won't have any problem letting me know when she disagrees with something.

a first officer should be able to command if i cannot for whatever reason. Chakotay, given his broken shuttle record, is out. Riker allowed a Galaxy class (and nearly a Sovereign class) ship to be destroyed -- luckily there was a joystick. Kira has allegiance to Bajor, not the UFP, so i can't trust her priorities. T'Pol and Spock are the only ones I think capable of command, and since T'Pol has remaining allegiances to the Vulcan High Command, i'm going with Spock

I haaaaaaated her until Peter David developed her character more in the New Frontier novels.
I would have to also go with Maj Kira, for reasons that have already been stated. Just imagine your XO being a former Freedom Fighter, Terrorist (If you have the misfoutune to be a Cardissian in her gun sights) she is proficient at the OP's, Tactial, Helm, The BIG Chair and she even know her was around engineering. And she makes it clear when she is not happy with your performance and/or attitude, all that being said. I'd rather have Data as XO, however, since you only gave us these choices I'll go with Kira...

He would have been my choice aswell, I looked up to his character growing up. The brash young officer, yet capable and witty.
But T'Pol's character began to grow on me in the fourth season of ENT, so I chose her in the absence of Calhoun.
