I'm torn on this. On one hand, Data gets a proper farewell speech. On the other hand, I don't think it's ever a good idea to bring a character back just to kill him again. On the third hand, "Data" wasn't really Data, but a near facsimile cobbled together from pieces and not necessarily the entire original. So going back to the Nemesis themes, he was the "echo" saying the "voice" is gone and as such the echo must fade into the black.
However, that also seems counter to what Data said in Nemesis, which is that he always strove to be more than what he was. Even as he was, does it seem right that Data would volunteer to be discontinued? Thematically, it works as described in my 1st paragraph, but it doesn't gel with the character.
Golem-Picard is, naturally, the good Picard clone to Shinzon's evil clone. /s
