Phlox is Comin' to Dallas

I don't know if its bein' posted about, haven't really been here for awhile, but I just thought I would let y'all know that All-Con is just 'round the corner, and the first guests announced for the event are John "Phlox" Billingsley and his wife Bonita Friedericy. He can currently be seen in a recurrin' role on HBO's True Blood and she has a recurrin' role on NBC's Chuck.

This is the second visit, at least, for this couple in D/FW, after last summer's FedConUSA fiasco.

No doubt, All-Con will be a better experience for the stars & their fans!

I'm still on the fence about goin'.

On one hand, I'm skippin' this month's DCC show in Richardson, since I've already met their headliner (Tom Jane), so I can head up to Addison pretty easily in March by settin' my DCC money aside.

On the other hand, I am goin' to Los Angeles within two weeks of All-Con for the big Leap Back convention, and I could save some money by not goin' to Addison before L.A.

Of course, if I do go to All-Con, I'll have to get an ENT cast photo signed by John Billingsley, so I can take it & get it signed by Scott Bakula at Leap Back.

Your absence has been keenly felt (no Odo av entries in the SF&F contests for weeks and weeks!).
 
I've discovered that I'm incapable of reading this thread title without imagining Phlox in a big ole cowboy hat, at Southfork, with the trumpet theme from Dallas playing.

It has happened several times yesterday and today. :D
 
Well, looks like I started the thread for nothin'.

It was announced last week that John Billingsley has gotten a stage role and he & his wife will be unable to attend All-Con, after all.

The guest list kind of sucks ass now. Peter Mayhew (Star Wars) & Aaron Douglas (BSG) are the biggest names on it, and I've met 'em both.
