Peter Sallis has died at the age of 96, his agents have announced.

The actor was best known for appearing in Last of the Summer Wine and was also famous as the voice of Wallace in Wallace and Gromit.

His agent confirmed he died peacefully with his family by his side.

A full life with some wonderful work, Wallace is an iconic character and Sallis' voice very famous as a result.
I'm glad he had a peaceful end.

Damn... Had no idea he was that age... I have loved Wallace and Gromit for years... Sallis' voice brought Wallace to life in wonderful ways. RIP.
