Pentagon preps soldier telepathy push

Overgeeked,

I suppose that's a good point. Still, if the technology existed to be able to "read a person's mind", it could be used for other applications. It would almost certainly end up as an interrogation tool for law enforcement.

I don't think that's such a good idea...

What is worse? Being kept alive and water boarded for information, or having your mind scanned into as computer and taken out back and shot because they have all the information you had.

Is it just me, or is that the most poorly worded article title ever?

I'm not the one who named it, dude.

Well, I'd say Water-boarding is worse because keeping the terrorist alive costs the Taxpayers money. Feel free to mind-rip the bastards and then promptly shoot them out back. I won't mind.

(And the controversy starts in 3... 2... 1...)

My predominant worry about this is that it would be used for law enforcement functions on american citizens...

Tharpdevenport,

A kitchen knife can't be used to control my brain, nor is it in the hands of the government.

Good point

Jsut because something is invented, it doesn't mean we need it or have to embrace it.

A lot of people don't seem to realize this... Some things, of course, should be embraced, others should not be

There isn't a need for everything that comes down the mental pooper.

That's correct
