I would hope not. While I loved The Trouble with Tribbles you can get away with it in a TV series because its meant as a comedy relief episode amongst a majority of serious episode. I hope Pegg will bring a bit more of the morality drama and exploring back. I truly don't want to see a whole lot of humor unless it is a natural outcome to a situation and not forced.Thoughts?

I highly doubt it. Pegg, and the others, seem to be intent on the 5 year mission aspect of the Enterprise. Plus, Pegg seems to be against the idea of recreating anything from past episodes.

^Cucumberpatch sure is getting a lot of use these past few months.

Good thing he doesn't charge for BBS appearances!

The talk from Pegg and Lin is that STB will be about exploring the final frontier (finally!). I don't think they would shoot themself in the foot by making an outright comedy, not when facing the mysteries of the cosmos.

But there will, of course, be some jokes.

Will He Go The Trouble With Tribble Route?
No. Why would you ask that?

A: I would hope not.
But of course: it affords you the opportunity to respond to a question no one was even thinking of asking, since the likelihood of a feature-movie "Tribbles"-type comedy is practically nil.

Thoughts?
I think that's a safer route than putting words in the mouths of other posters (otherwise known as 'setting up straw men') or attributing to "so many" sentiments which aren't in fact being expressed by anyone. However, this still feels vaguely shifty and it has me wondering what you're really up to.

That's not a good start. Since you've had a few other responses which also indicate skepticism regarding the possibility of Pegg "going the 'Trouble with Tribbles route," why don't we just call this "asked and answered" and bring it to a conclusion?
