PC Video card help

Can anyone please tell me a way to find out exactly what manufacturer and make of video card I have short of opening the system case? I know about going to properties and also about dxdiag but it just gives very general information. It says 8800gts but there are many different versions of this card. Help?

Riva Tuner is a third party tweaking utility for nvidia videocards: it's primary used for overclocking but it will tell you all the relevant information about the chip, the frequencies it runs at, the type of memory etc. You can download it here: http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?page=rivatuner

Or just type "dxdiag" in the run dialogue and it will say there under the video section.

yup, he already did that and it wasn't enough. dxdiag doesn't tell you if a 8800 gts has the g80 or the g92 chip (there's quite a substantial difference), nor the core clock and other stuff like that.
