Hi,
The name is Ixion, I'm wondering just how many of you are role-players in the literate sense, where you role-play and how you got into it in the first place.
For me, role-playing literately has been something I've been doing from the age of seven. Solo role-playing first of all, always letting the stories unfold me reacting to those events. It was much later that I got involved with collaborative role-playing.
The first Star Trek Role-playing I got involved with was many years later with Obsidian Fleet thanks to an invitation from a friend who was also a member of the fleet at the time. Since then I explored what various different fleets had to offer (Horizon, Band of Brothers, Epsilon...) exhausted myself, took a break and now I'm back at Obsidian but I'm also role-playing independently, a solo-rpg if you will. I feel that I've come full circle with much more experience now and far more interest and knowledge in character development than I ever had before.
Was star trek role-playing the same for you or did you travel a different route?
(I'd link, but as I'm new, the mods would have a field day and well, I already posted my advert).
