Patrick Stewart when he turned down on many disney movies

Moodib

Lieutenant
Red Shirt
I heard in the 80's and 90's he turned down parts for Great Mouse Detective, Oliver and Company, Little Mermaid and even Aladdin for Jafar, i also heard Patrick regret not playing the part of Jafar. Just imagine how our fave NG captain would have been as that villain?

^That was my very first thought, too.

Stewart as Jaffar, well that would have made an already awesome character even more awesome. Who would he have been in Great Mouse Detective? Ratigan? Because I would never wish to lose Vincent Price from the role.

Patrick on the <animated> ocean, his arms wide.

He would make a great voice actor, probably more recognizable than most.

Maybe he could be a wise or evil mouse if/when they remake Secret Of Nimh.

He was in Prince of Egypt
and of course he does American Dad, so he's not above voice acting

He was also suppose to be Goliath from Gargoyles, but he was too expensive. But Keith David turned out pretty well.

Yeah, as much fun as Stewart would've been as Goliath, Keith David owned that part and I wouldn't want it to change.

He has a major role in the English dub for Katsuhiro Otomo's Steamboy

Ooo! I didn't know that... Will check it out..

On the subject sorta... What did you think of Paul Giamatti as Asterix in "Asterix and the Vikings?"

Ooh, never been a fan of animated Asterix, despite my animated avatar. I watched the early films, up to Asterix Conquers America out of brand loyalty. It was Asterix so it had to be good. But I find that the animations lack pace, the wit, the satire of the comic books. Most of those early animations got UK English dubs, so I'm used to Bill Oddie (The Goodies) as Asterix, and Bernard Bresslaw (Carry On Movies) as Obelix. Not good...

Hmm, Patrick Stewart as Julius Caesar...

Steward has one of those voices that no matter what he is doing its going to be good....he gave good voice work way back in 1993 in the video game Lands of lore, i remember being blown away when i realised it was cap Picard voice in the game...then that same year we had Star trek judgement rites with all the original cast as well as actors like William campbell playing Trelain again.

God 1993 was a great year.

Speaking of Patrick's voice, is this him in the National Car Rental commercials?

I know he did Pontiac commercials a fairly long time ago.

Yes, that is definitely him. That voice is unmistakable.
I loved him in the Crestor commercials.

I agree, but one or two lines in that commercial almost don't sound right, like someone trying to sound like Patrick.

Well, Patrick's informal voice is slightly different from his formal voice. We're used to dapper diplomat and courageous Captain Picard. I've seen him in many movies. Watch him in Jeffrey sometime. You'll hear more of his informal voice.

I :adore: Patrick Stewart.

He also used his "informal" voice in the video game "Elite Force II" for Picard. That was... odd.
