A strong screen presence and brave lady has left us.

I liked her in the few films I've seen her in: The Fountainhead, The Day The Earth Stood Still, and The Homecoming.

And she was quite a dish in her younger days.

I remember her originating the role of Ma Walton in the pilot film, "The Homecoming: a Christmas Story." Wonderful actress, who rose above her struggles with dignity and grace. She will be missed.
