I thought this was a home run episode following Emissary.

Plenty of intrigue
Plenty of action
Plenty of other and familiar species (Klingons, Carddies)
Little Trekno Babble

I loved it

S1 fell off the wagon when Move Along Home premiered. Still, IMO the worst DS9 ever and running a close 2nd to TNG's semi nude planet w/the Boy playing ball w/the hot bodies.

I agree 100%. PP was great.
using Lursa & Betor instead of some unknown arms dealer was a good idea.
The interaction between odo and Kira was remarkable for a first episode and seeing Kira crossing Sisko was a cool thing.
Also, I thought it was really interesting to see the Cardies as something more than just the evil enemy (and Vaughn Armstrong was great as the Gul, much better than Alaimo would have fit in that particular episode imo).

I'll give it a 9/10. Seriously.

The part where Kira got into w/Sisko was something else. The "hawk" Sisko would have probably slapped her eyeballs out, but her respect for Sisko grew and she wouldn't have dared .
