I've misinterpretred so many thread titles the last couple of days!

I honestly thought this involved NBC and "The Cage".

Watch a few ep's in the living room while they are around to notice. Stash a few DVD's next to the TV where they will be seen. If at a later time you miss the DVD's and find a ST Mag hidden under a mattress in the kid's bedroom, you know they are hooked.

I haven't started yet. My seven year old niece does like space ships so I'm going to try to get her into Star Trek. She's not quite ready yet because she prefers cartoons right now. I will put on a dvd for her one day and see how it goes.
