A few years ago I became a fan of the Honor Harrington series by Weber, and have seen some interesting looking books by the Weber/White duo that have been collected as "The Stars at War" and "The Stars at War II". I understand they are tied into the Starfire games.
Anyone here read them? I just got the first book (which is an omnibus of "Crusade" and "In Death Ground") and was wondering what I needed to know about the setting and series since I have never played the game it is based on, and since the books are, apparently, collected out of published order and placed in chronological order (which may or may not mean that I am missing out on explanations from the get-go).
