Orthos of rarely seen Enterprise era Starfleet ships

Doug Drexler has been posting some pretty incredible things on his blog recently, including orthographic views of the "Iceland" (Warp Delta, seen in "The Expanse", and "Twilight") and SS Emmette from the title sequence.

I think these ships are pretty cool! It's nice to see what the front end of the Credits ship actually looks like.

He's also recently posted some behind the scenes photos from Enterprise production.

I always used to think the Emmette was an early effects shot for the NX, since you can only see the back and they look very similar from that angle.

Just reminds me why I love Enterprise. Even after show left the airwaves, we're left with a century still largely a blank canvas. Just the odd landmark and broadstroke, mostly conjecture from 'later' series. Take the low tech, riveted look of the supporting ships... all too rarely seen. Almost steampunk that one, where you can see sections of plating held together on the nacelle. Of course, we've no timescale for that Emmette 'moon-shuttle'. It could be 50 or more years before the NX-01.

I can see Doug Drexler's blog fast becoming one of my regular stops online.

Very cool designs. Too bad we didn't get to see them more in the actual show.

Looks like a more advanced version of the SS Valiant, which I'm guessing is the point.

I was reading the "Ship of the Line" booklet, and one of the designs there is clearly a more advanced take on the Phoenix. Nice to see the people who worked on this show clearly DID know their Trek history and aren't deserving of half the grief they got.
