"Can we get canon explanation for Khan's appearance change? Thanks!” Wait 4 IDW comics!
Oh thank God, I can sleep easy now.
I don't know about you, but as a hardcore Trekkie his appearance changed really bugged me. It may not be the full answer just yet, but it's something to tie us over until it comes
Ha, love the Metroid background on your twitter feed, BlueMetroid.
Gracias! Those are my all-time favorite games!
Walter Koenig proposed to my wife
I wish to hear more of this.
Sure!
I knew I wanted a unique proposal idea....something that would be very "me" (Star Trek is my life) and also be special to my wife (she's a Trekkie also....ST is the first thing we bonded over).
I contacted Mr. Koenig and asked if he'd be part of my idea....to my complete astonishment he gladly agreed! He was such a nice guy through the whole process. We collaborated through a few phone calls, and decided he would call my wife at an arranged time and pop the big question.
Mr Koenig had just one condition though....he wanted me to record it so he could see it for himself. Now, at the time I didn't have access to a webcam, but how can I say no to Walter Koenig?! So I somehow rigged my ol' PlayStation EyeToy into a working webcam, and was able to record the whole thing.
He called her and told her who he was....she was totally awestruck (we'd "conveniently" watched all the best Chekov TOS episodes in the days prior). After some small talk (how are you, etc.) he said "Spencer thinks you're really great, and wants to know if you'd be his wife". My fiance began to cry, and Mr. Koenig knew I had something prepared of my own, so he said his goodbyes. I got down on one knee, and read my little speech that I'd spent the day memorizing.
She said yes, and the rest is history! Mr. Koenig loved the video, and we still keep in contact. He and his wife even sent us a Congratulations card after our wedding!
My wife had "My Imzadi" engraved inside my wedding band...her name for me....Star Trek really did bring us together!
Whew....long story I know...but thanks for reading!
