You can do that online? That must vary by location. They don't offer that here - round where I live, you have to go to class. But you can *register* online.
In Texas you can do it online, however a law was passed so that online DE can't undercut the prices of brick and morter schools. So either way, you're paying too much. (Online vendors used to cut the price in half.)

Do you just mean traffic school? Defensive driving here is something different. I have taken traffic school online and it was very easy. In fact they rarely hold actual classes now because everyone is encouraged to do it online. When I got my ticket a few years ago when I got my materials in the mail they included a long list of websites I could do my traffic school at. It was really cheap (like $10) and so easy. They basically gave you the answers and gave you as many tries as you needed to get them right. So basically it was a joke.
