One of My Charcoals

Thurisaz

Lieutenant Commander
Hey everyone. I thought I would share one of my Trek related charcaol portraits with you. Portraits are my specialty, and this is one I did three years ago. It's funny, because every non-trekkie, or crypto non-trekkie thought it was Spock...Unless they'd seen X-men already.:rommie:

Really good. I think the 'Spock' confusion is the sharpness of the ears, though, they've got a 'point' to them that may be visually throwing some people off.

At the same time, though, it's a bit sad that Picard is already fading to the dustbin of history. :S

Thank you. A few years ago I bought a Star Trek TV guide special full size magazine. I'm sure a few of you may have it. The front of it was holographic with all the Enterprises up until First Contact. The pic of Picard I used to draw it was in there. I was fascinated by the lighting, and tried my best to recreate it on the charcoal. If anyone knows what mag I'm talking about let me know. It had all the main character breakdowns, ships, enemies and so forth.

That is a really nice portrait of movie era Picard. I really like how you rendered the color of his uniform.:techman:

Gurney? :techman:

excellent work, though the darkness of his right eye is a bit disturbing.
