I utterly hated The Inner Light, it's one of the few episodes I absolutely refuse to watch. But that's just me.

It's an outstanding episode. Star Trek's answer to Remains of the Day or one of those kind of films that where in vogue in the early 90s.

I agree, this episode bored me to death everytime Ive seen it

Oh, I don't hate it because it's boring, I hate it because it makes me so angry I want to punch the TV.

Picard gets mind raped and is kept prisoner in some fantasy world, but it's all somehow okay because these aliens that have violated Picard are "nice".

At least the DS9 episode Hard Time was honest that what it was doing to O'Brien wasn't A Good Thing(™).

This is a good episode but I'm constantly surprised at how popular it appears to be. It wouldn't even touch my top 50 TNG episodes let alone top 5 Star Trek episodes where it usually seems to land with a lot of the fanbase.

I think this episode doesn't feel like a TNG episode because so much of it happens on some unknown planet that has been gone for a long time. Guest characters in a not so TNG enviroment... doesn't feel right.
