OMG!!!! Here's a music clip from the upcoming movie score!!!

Re: OMG!!!! Here's a music clip from the upcoming movie scor

Actually, my sources are telling me that the entire soundtrack will be provided by Stovokor.

^^ What the hell was that!?

DO NOT CLICK THE LINK that Aragorn posted. It's an executable file from a site I've never heard of before... who knows what could be in the payload for that thing.

Nothing wrong with the link here, just leads to a streaming sample of some cheesy Star Trek 'muzak',

It's a link via Buy.com for listening to samples of their CDs.

But you're right, I soooooo spent all these years on this board posting just for this one day where I can spread one little virus upon you all.

Sounds like the TNG theme after being turned Christmasy

Re: OMG!!!! Here's a music clip from the upcoming movie scor

The music is from Meco. You can click on song samples at Amazon.com to hear some of their other stuff, including Star Wars and Close Encounters.

If anyone actually wants the .mp3 for Star Trek, I can send it to you. :p

MECO lives...

My ears are bleeding!

I realize this thread was probably started in jest (if that was not your intent, Aragorn, forgive my assumption), but this reminds me of something.

A few years ago, I stumbled across a "preview sample", a "pumped up" arrangement of Fred Steiner's "Doomsday Machine" score. It was a track upon a compilation CD labeled "Sci-Fi Cafe". The artists for this particular piece called themselves "The Information Society".

Recently, I discovered Amazon.com sells the individual tracks as MP3s for immediate download. Great! I wouldn't have to buy the whole album for just one song, and if it was a turkey, I'd have wasted only 99 cents.

Anyway, one can legally play a preview sample here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000VW5QCE/ref=dm_mu_dp_trk9

Alas, this is not the same sample I obtained several years ago and doesn't represent the better part of the track. But still, imagine this blasting from a THX sound equipped theater as the Enterprise warps towards "apparent" doom. I don't know about others, but it would certainly send shivers up my spine! :D

Sincerely,

Bill

I have that CD! Some of the remixes on that are pretty good, while others are really bad. The Doomsday one is alright, but it gets repetitive.
