DO NOT CLICK THE LINK that Aragorn posted. It's an executable file from a site I've never heard of before... who knows what could be in the payload for that thing.

I realize this thread was probably started in jest (if that was not your intent, Aragorn, forgive my assumption), but this reminds me of something.
A few years ago, I stumbled across a "preview sample", a "pumped up" arrangement of Fred Steiner's "Doomsday Machine" score. It was a track upon a compilation CD labeled "Sci-Fi Cafe". The artists for this particular piece called themselves "The Information Society".
Recently, I discovered Amazon.com sells the individual tracks as MP3s for immediate download. Great! I wouldn't have to buy the whole album for just one song, and if it was a turkey, I'd have wasted only 99 cents.
Anyway, one can legally play a preview sample here:

Alas, this is not the same sample I obtained several years ago and doesn't represent the better part of the track. But still, imagine this blasting from a THX sound equipped theater as the Enterprise warps towards "apparent" doom. I don't know about others, but it would certainly send shivers up my spine!
Sincerely,
Bill
