Harper is one other Youtuber I follow who occasionally does retropective/review's, as well as commentaries on films. Today, he just uploaded a retro/review of TMP and I thought some of the posters may be interested.

As usual, a few facts wrong, and some needless repetition, but overall pretty good.

Well, certainly don't bother, you know, posting a link or anything. ;)

I'd love to read a modern review from someone who hasn't spent the last 35 years being biased by critics and lame fan criticisms (seriously...the "Motionless Picture" thing is a bit played-out at this point I think) and get a real fresh perspective on how this movie might be viewed. Pick a science fiction fan who is familiar with Trek but hasn't spent the last 35 years watching the movie and debating about it...I think that would be fascinating.

I'm a little late, but since this thread was already up with very similar material, I didn't want to start another thread. Oliver Harper recently did a commentary/podcast for Star Trek: The Motion Picture; I believe he'll be doing another for Star Trek II soon.
