Apparently, some Amazon listings have let Steve Roby know about some upcoming collections of old school Star Trek comics. For one thing, it looks like The Key Collection: Volume 6 will finally be out this fall. How many years has it been since Volume 5? But I'll believe it when I see it. It looks like there's just nine more issues to go after this, so once Volume 7 is out, I should have the complete series at long last!

In other news, it looks like IDW is going to be reprinting some of the older comics. This is nice, since Titan Books has stopped announcing new titles. (And is Convergence ever going to freaking hit Amazon anyway?) The first two are Best of Peter David and Best of the Borg.

From their Amazon descriptions, it looks like the former will include The Return of the Worthy and "Retrospect", the excellent Scotty annual. I'm les than excited about the former-- Titan Books just reprinted that a couple years ago!

Judging by the authorial credits for the Borg volume, it looks like we might be getting The Worst of Both Worlds, which is good, as I've never read it.

^ They don't have the rights to them. If IDW has the rights to reprint DC's Trek comics, then they likely are the ones who might do the Marvel comics.

But Marvel will never reprint them, as they legally can't. :)

Me too, I would love to get my hands on Early Voyages and Starfleet Academy series, because from what I've read on MB those two sound awsome.

They were pretty good. I was surprised at how much I liked SFA, although it got a little goofy at times, but it was still fun.

Starfleet Academy was probably the best of the bunch. I truly enjoyed that one.

I would buy a collection of Early Voyages or Starfleet Academy even though I own all the individual issues!

I've got all the Early Voyages, but I'm pretty spotty on the other Marvel titles (except Unlimited, I've got that complete, too). I'd definitely like to see collections of those.

I was just looking at Ebay and somebody is selling off all 19 issues of SA for only $5.

^Grab them! And then try and find Marvel's DS9 #11-12, Star Trek: Unlimited #6 and the Telepathy War special for the whole saga.
