Yes, I do watch American Idol. And I actually was worried about Ellen, who I normally can not stand. But I think she is doing a great job as the new host, and yes, doing a far better job than Paula. Ellen is a bit 'easy', so when she says she doesn't like a performance, then you know its bad...

Replacing Simon, who is the only reason I watch because he is the only one who really counts, is not going to be easy though.

I agree. I was expecting the proverbial train wreck, but she's actually a pretty good judge.
