I really enjoyed the scenes with the Prophets. Those things must be an absolute bear to write and make work.
I agree that we need to see more character depth. Right now, Nevin is the only character we have any real empathy for, and that's because of his character development from Hidden Frontier.
Some random thoughts (and intended constructively):
1. Mr. Wozniak. That's not a common name. Any relation (a couple of dozen generations removed, of course) to a certain famous computer designer?
2. Stadi- do her hackles ever come down? It seems odd for a telepath to walk around with that big a chip on her shoulder.
3. Stadi again- She obviously is a much more powerful telepath than Deanna Troi. Is this because she's pureblooded Betazoid, as opposed to Deanna being a hybrid.
4. Stadi a third time (hey, she's on screen a lot)- Nice use of her abilities to get around communicator problems.
5. T'Lora- granted we've accepted that 24th century Romulans aren't the noble adversaries that Kirk went up against, but geez, she does need these humans to get home. She doesn't always have to have a separate agenda.
6. Odyssey has a very estrogen-laden bridge, especially during T'Lora's shift. It might be fun to see the ladies "talking shop" while forgetting Wozniak is on the bridge, as his ears just get redder and redder.
7. Is everyone in the Andromeda Galaxy a backstabbing dog?
8. The Doctor has the potential to become a very Garak-like character- almost always knowing some little bit of trivia that is vital, but never quite divulging how he got it, or why he knows it.
9. It's nice to see Odyssey looking rougher and rougher as the series goes on. It's something I hope continues. When she got back to Earth, Voyager should have been more duct tape than hull metal.
Again, I hope some of these comments are useful. For all of them, I'm still enjoying the series.
