Read that one a long time ago. It's a good story, all right. Liked Sisko's use of "The Lady or the Tiger" at the end.
I don’t think Odo’s really had a significant novel focus - because of his Changeling/Dominion ties, it made it awkward to explore him that much during the novels set during the series, and then for most of the Novelverse, which really kicked off with Avatar, he was with the Dominion proper.
I’d say Heart of the Warrior has some good Odo elements, though IIRC, they don’t quite mesh with later established canon. Also I do recall liking the way that scenes from his perspective explored him in a non-humanoid shape in Devil in the Sky.

The very first original DS9 novel, The Siege by Peter David, has a strong Odo focus. It holds up pretty well continuity-wise for such an early novel, aside from the Rio Grande getting destroyed at the end, which is of course impossible.
