Berlinerish is recognisable as German, at least it is to me. But it's true, the regional differences are really pronounced in Germany. It's probably similar to how it works in the UK, although it caused me more trouble in Germany, obviously. The people in Berlin were kind enough to open their mouths when talking to me, which is more than I can say for the Saxons and Bavarians.

Oh, ans the bloke on the right really does look like JJ, doesn't he? That's a bad omen...
