Now Read On

I picked up the Star Trek magazine last week where it chronicled star-crossed lovers in Trek and washappily surprised that they were plugging the ST lit in a "Now Read On" component of each story that were telling in their main feature. While it spoiled some events of books I haven't read yet.... grrrr... it was kinda nice to have direct plugs for the lit in this way. Does the mag do this kind of thing regularly... not just plug upcoming books/comics in its back pages?

Seeing that there's not much by way of ongoing TV series or active movies (ST12 still hasn't had a script delivered), they spend a bit more time talking about novels and comics than they did when there were active TV series and during the ST09 era.

It certainly helps that a lot of the articles are written by the prose authors, I presume.

I don't read the mag regularly, just when there seems to be an interesting issue. It was nice to see the profile the books got despite the spoilers.
