My own contest idea, and the month nearly got away from me! Oh well, here's two ideas at least.

The first one is a basic design, but I think it looks pretty good. It's still a bit more than the bare-bones Starfleet standard.

The second one is based off the old dazzle paint jobs they put on some ships around WWI. In this version, the white around the "NCC-1701" is supposed to be self-illuminating, only lighting up in non-combat conditions.

I like the dazzle one, but the first will probably get more votes...

Hopefully it's not too late, but I quickly put together a third entry. This is based mostly on one of the Indycar liveries done for the Boy Scouts. I originally wanted to do something based on the tan and olive uniforms, but I couldn't get it worked out in time.

I could see maybe a smaller vessel being used by them in the 23rd Century
