The Director of the Sheliak Corporate has been attempting to interpret your Federation Archives and is amused by your fascination with and stupefaction by the obscure human known as Nostradamus. Because the languages and recorded history of Sol Gamma are so clumsy and imprecise, the Corporate has decided to present this planet with a very small token of admiration.
Actually, I just like history and thought I'd take a crack at one of Nostradamus' poorly translated, poorly interpreted, poorly preserved chestnuts. I've seen the "experts" on the "History" Channel concerning this subject and am not at all impressed. Perhaps this post may help fellow hobbyists with a more authentic translation. Perhaps not. In any case, Nostradamus was quite the prophet/poet/critic/seer/doctor/etc., a real Renaissance Man in my humble opinion, so here it is.

I think there may be a reason to his rhyme (plouvoir/mal voir, Occidental/Tridental) so at least in the first one I've separated the goats from the sheep.

Near Orgon (Avignon) war, in Rome a great evil to see (The Sack of Rome by Charles V)
Eastern Soil, Western King (Pope - Triple Tiara/Saturn's Rings)
Knives melted by the foundry and the Trident taken (Preparations for the Sea Battle of Lepanto)
The Future... World War II - Pacific Theater
On the rocks blood will truly rain
The Sun in the East (Japan), Saturn in the West (Triple Alliance - USA, UK, Soviet Union)
Next to Oregon war (Pearl Harbor), in Rome a great evil can be seen (the Vatican surrounded, Mussolini, etc.)
Sunken Nesses (Loch Ness?) (Nazi U-Boats) take the Trident (torpedoes)
The Past... The 1st Century
One will see blood rain on the rocks (The Crucifixion on Golgotha)
The Sun In Balance (Emperor Guang Wu Di of China / Restoration of the Han Dynasty - Eastern), Saturn Tipped (When the Roman Emperors started to turn evil)
Near the organ, war (Lance to the side of Christ), in Rome a great evil to see (666, Roman Emperor)
Profound knaves (Deep thrust of the Roman Soldiers?) take up the Trident (Neptune's weapon)
