Nor'easter

Sweet! We got a dusting overnight but I am excited to get the first real snowstorm of the year, even though I'm only in the 1-3" zone.

I love hiking through the woods while it's snowing, it's very peaceful other than my two meatball dogs.

2-4 expected for me. In October? I'm not ready! I guess I'm unburying my snowblower (it's currently covered by junk in my garage) and heading out to fill some gas cans tonight.

I hate hot weather, hence I am looking forward to this.

<-- According to my avatar, the white stuff is gonna be all over the place.

Laughing at the amount of freaking out going on over a predicted couple inches. Few areas are going to get a little more, but really? Come on. Would it really matter much if it was 2 weeks later? It's not going to be on the ground for more than a couple days, anyway.

Waiting for someone to have a storm special, drop a 'perfect storm' mention...

So far just rain for me, though there might be 1-2 inches of accumulation when it's all said and done. Some friends wanted to go to a haunted house tonight (and, according to their website, they are open rain or shine), but I'll be damned if I am gonna be outside in wet, cold weather at night. Screw this. I am moving to the equator.

I love snow ... in the winter! But, I'm just not ready for it this early. Not looking forward to it. Not supposed to be TOO too bad here in Boston, but we have to go to my MIL's tomorrow, and she's in the 10"-12" band. :borg:

It's just irritating because I had things to do today. My daughter's birthday is Monday. Normally, I never have to worry about snow getting in the way of that!

It's actually quite common for it to be snowing by Halloween in Canada, at least where I live in Northern Ontario. It's not out of the ordinary. And it's actually normal for us to have to wear parkas under whatever costume we have. I was watching ABC news a few nights ago and they made a fuss about kids having to wear parkas for the first time, which I thought was kind of funny, since I never remember a time where I haven't had to. Store-bought costumes are usually made for warmer climates and don't usually take into account the extra bulk.

Given that it's supposed to get up to 45 degrees tomorrow, it's not likely that Monday's plans will be affected at all.
