In case anyone isn't aware, electronic book publishers have the option of allowing products sold for Barnes and Noble's Nook readers (and software for Windows, Mac, Android and iPod) to lend an eBook to an acquaintance for a period up to two weeks. Thumbnails for participating eBooks are displayed with a prominent "LEND ME" when the reader lists the user's purchased publications. After the two week period the reader/software registered to the account the eBook was lent to refuses to decrypt the eBook and the original owner is allowed to read it again.
