No Star Trek In Australia On Netflix :(

I really only watch 2 shows, that is Prison Break and Star Trek and I was really sad to find that all the Star Treks was not on there, they have Doctor Who and Star Wars Clone Wars but not Star Trek, So can anyone tell me if it will come later?

I have now been told that because the sci fi channel on foxtel has Star Trek Aus netfix will never have it. I don't know if this is true.

Last time I looked at Sci Fi channel, it had no Star Trek on it anymore, it used to but not anymore, but I will have a look.

I always thought that the idea that a streaming service will completely satisfy everyone was a pipedream. There is a lot of obscure stuff i watch on my cable.

I think channel 11 was airing DS9 and TNG over the last few years. No trek doesn't bother me as I have zero interest in netflix.

I own all of Star Trek in dvd and originally a huge amount of it in video.

And you can use a US IP to watch it free from startrek.com.

And yeah, you can borrow it from libraries or dvd rentals if you don't want to watch it online.

It is annoying though for people excited about all the netflix hype to realize the rather huge multiple series thing they wanted out of it isn't available.

I looked and the sci fi channel still does not have it anymore.

But channel 11 has TNG on Saturdays i think but only 3 episodes play.

But i want it on netflix so i can watch lots more of ST and watch TOS.

I live in Canada and have the same issue, we only have TNG. But there's a way around it...

use a proxy, the easiest one to use is called "Hola" for Google Chrome browser. Once installed, go to netflix, click the icon and choose USA. Login to Netflix and voila, all the Star Trek's are available to you.

Not sure if I'm allowed to be talking about this, so advance apologies to mods if this sort of thing is illegal.

Anything obscure that you can find on DVD, you should buy. You're still at the mercy of content providers any other way.

Buy the discs?

Kind of off-topic, but is there a lot of censorship in Australia? Video games seem to be dislike by the authorities there while the U.S. and UK don't seem to care much about them anymore.

Whenever there is any doubt, there is no doubt.

That cost money and we have netflix.

Many Australian public libraries have DVDs and Blu-Rays for free loan. (Oh, I see I already offered that strategy.)

Our Customs can be very tight getting US-bought items through in the mail, if there is an exclusive local distributor. But yes, I guess some video games violate Australian decency codes. Some games receive "a local edit that causes it to differ from the worldwide edition".

Netherlands doesn't have it either. There are other shows we also don't have, for the very simple reason that some tv channels still have the rights to some shows, even though they don't even air them. Which sucks. :(
