No Spoiler Avatars Please!

Hi, I rmember last year a couple of people had clever avatars that were also spoilery.
I know this sounds whiney, but I have to wait for Lost season 6 as I'm in Asia and they won't start it here for another few months, though I'm considering finding it on the net (PM me if you have any 'suggestions' )

It's not at all whiney, and it is a very reasonable request (the no spoiler avatars thing, that is ). I'm sure the other staff here will agree with you.

I would also ask that this be extended to signatures, locations, and custom titles if possible.



Interestingly, a recent news article stated that a leak of season 6 was met with a poor reception by fans, who preferred instead to wait for the premiere:

The first hour of the final season of ABC's "Lost" has leaked online, and the reaction is not what industry insiders expected.

Though preview content for heavily serialized dramas such as "Lost" is typically frantically consumed online, the sixth season of the ABC hit has managed to build to such an epic level of anticipation that many fans are doing the unthinkable: refusing to watch the leaks.

When the opening scene from the premiere popped up online after a fan promotion Friday, users of one popular social network site voted to "bury" the video.

"Why spoil it now?" wrote one fan with the moniker MyWhiteNoise. "I'd rather watch it in hi-def and surround sound than ruin the surprise and watch some (low-quality) video."

These fans are smart.

I rememebr a couple of avatars last year that made little sense to me (they had South Park references and 1977 references etc.) and then I'd see the episode and think Oh, THAT'S what that avatar meant!
