Seriously. Since the film's release, this forum has become a mad cacophony of whiney protests about canon violations, shakey-cam, lens flares, whether it's an alternate universe or if it's crapped over the whole history of Trek, to the fact that the TNG crew weren't out there poncing around for another flick, to crazy accusations of lazy writing and childhood raping, through to a crescendo of half-baked ideas on whether Khan should be in the sequel etc ad inifinitum.

Add to this the fact that threads are moving so bloody fast I just can't keep up. The review thread is past 100 pages already and still going strong. I try and drop by every day or so, but this has quickly become completely insufficient.

I think I need a secretary devoted to TrekBBS to keep me up to date! It's all gone all shouty and so fast it's all a blur!

Maybe I'm just getting old. Think I'll go and sit in the TOS forum in a corner and rock back and forth quitely murmering to myself...

Note the top entry. And even with that, there's still a ton of threads with unread posts buried pages back that are just impossible to keep up with.

LOL. Me too, i only have to type 'TR' in my browser and it has Trek XI forum ready to go.

I feel exactly the same.

I work long hours, i log into here on sundays and thursdays, my only days off that i get to use the internet between sleeping, eating and pooping in my weekly life.

I have tried so hard to keep up, some people on here must be surgically grafted to the internet 24/7.


Threads are moving up and down so damn fast i cant keep up either, i even try on my cell phone but by the time ive sifted through threads, its time to back after lunch or get off the train.

Ill join you in the TOS forum, Meet you in the bowling alley for a beer.

I think having a single review thread was... short sighted.

Granted, allowing everyone who saw the movie to post a seperate review wouldn't be any better at all. A seperate forum for reviews would've been better. That way each review and the discussion of that review can have a thread, you could weed out the "bashing reviews" from the bad reviews and from the good reviews and so forth. But that review thread is a nightmare and I'm not sure saying anything in there is worth it as it's just going to get lost in the noise.

Ironically, i have a MacBook pro on my desk.

Sometimes you just want 10 minutes of sollitude while pooping. Although, have been known to talk on the phone, text message and watch my ipod on several occasions.
