Hello spockfan101, and welcome to the board! I'm a fan of Nirvana, my favorite album still being Nevermind.

Just letting you know ahead of time, but this thread will probably be moved to TV & Media, since it's about music. Still, I hope you enjoy your time on the board!

When did we flashback to my high school years?!? I think I still have a cassette tape of theirs around somewhere....

I hated Nirvana. I always liked covers by other artists of their songs. That being said I have warmed up to them over the years. Like Drain You & Scentless Apprentice a lot.

I prefer In Utero to Nevermind. Nevermind was a bit too slick compared to everything else they did. Both albums have some really impressive songwriting though. Not so keen on Bleach, but Incesticide was much better than most rarities albums.

I'm very happy that Dave Grohl was able to carve out such an impressive career since, but despite having bought all the Foo Fighters albums, they aren't one of my real favourite bands. I tend only to listen to most of their albums a few times before becoming bored of them. With a few notable exceptions. And I loved Probot.

^ Incesticide is the one I listen to the most. Son of a Gun, Been a Son, Molly's Lips and of course the mighty Aneurysm...

I am a big Nirvana fan, love all their albums. I still listen to a lot of grunge, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam and Mudhoney to name a few. All great bands!

I saw Nirvana open for Dinosaur Jr. in 1991. I thought they were good, not great, and my friends felt similarly (they were definitely one of the loudest I've ever seen, though). We figured if any Seattle band would "make it big" it would be Soundgarden. Six months Nirvana was the biggest thing in the world.

A very good band, and though personally I though a lot of '80s US indie/underground acts were as good or better, I do enjoy listening to Nevermind or "Unplugged" once in a while.
