Nintendo DS - Star Trek Tactical Assault

My kids bought me this game for father's day, which is really cool because I didn't even know that it existed. Between Baseball tournements and father's day activities, I only had a chance to play a few minutes last night. It seemed ok, but I hope it's a little more than go out and shoot stuff then come back to the starbase.

Any thoughts on this game?

Yeah I have this game, it's pretty cool. It's like a Starfleet Command Lite, that's about the only way I can describe it. I enjoyed the game, but yeah, it's mostly destroy and return to base. I had a hard time finding this game when it was released, think I had to order it online because no one around me carried it.

I've been playing this for a little over a week now and it's pretty fun. It is destroy and return to base, but it's challenging enough to keep me playing. I haven't been able to figure out how to open the Klingon missions yet.

Just picked this up for $10 on the bargain rack. Figured I couldn't pass that up.

It's pretty decent so far. The music and sound effects are better than I would have expected, and the graphics are passable. I agree, it really is a "Starfleet Command Lite," which isn't a bad thing in my book.

I loved this game on the PSP. Star Trek Online's Combat is very similar though a bit more complicated.

This game was god awful , Just like encounters which was released at the around the same time...... Bethestha were just not a good enough company to have the mighty Trek license. I think its about time Paramount and CBS shud go make piece with Activision and get some good console based games out ..

or even better get the guys from STO

It's not that Bethesda isn't a good enough company, I just don't think they put crazy amounts of money into it. They made this game at the same time that they were making The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, which I'm sure was taking up most of their focus.
