Like the chess photos, just some random photos taken at home during the series run... perhaps for some magazine interview??
If only I could have been neighbors with Nimoy or Shatner. Cool. 
Leonard apparently worked many blue-collar jobs before his acting success, and contrary to type, he was something of a handyman.
I wish I had known that as a boy. I might have been interested in picking more hands-on skills in the practical world.
