Joeseph Fields was crazy. Years of thearpy was his proof. The days though were easier on Joseph. He could pass as normal in daylight. He could fake all the aproopiate emotions and emulate the behavior of the sane.

Night is when they craziness came out. It was when Joseph was truly himself. He hated his true self and he hated the 3 stages one goes through when one is insane.

First stage was the beginning of the end of the normacy that exsited through the day. It was when the mental strength to hold oneself together vanished only to be replaced with their raw emotional self/

It was when tv didn't becme tv. It became a reflection of his soul. It was when pain was not something you push through but instead, something that consumes you. Sitting was seen as bad and laying down was seen as escape..

Jospeh constantly stayed in a state of confusion with his only constant desire being a plea for anyone or everyone to help him.

The second stage was the hallucinations/ The mental imagry and dialogue with people who aren't real. Well some are real but they just happen to not be in the same room at that moment with Jospeh.

This stage in some ways didn't bother Jospeh that much. Even though he knew he shouldn't be seeing and hearing these people, they did in some ways respond to his plea for anyone to help him. A illusionary person might just be a extension of Joseph but it was better than being alone with the insanity.

For Jospeh, real people could never really understand what was going through his mind. Imaginary extensions of his subconcious were different. They knew all the things that made Jospeh the person he was. He sometimes even loved his figments, even if they hated him because of the undenaible bond he had with them.

The third and final stage for Jospeh was acceptance. Not that he was insane. Jospeh knew this even during the daytime hours when he tried to be normal. Acceptance was the coming to terms that his life would always be like this. That there would always be something slighly off about him.

Jospeh use to try and have hope for a better future. During the day he still even had moments of hope that his life would mean something. It was in the third stage though that he recognized that his mental state would always be the thing about him that most makes him the person he was meant to be.

It's never easy to accept that your not normal. Still it does bring some peace of mind to come to terms with who you are. Joseph didn't like it but he was indeed a crazy person.

Jayson, may I ask to what genre of fan fiction (being defined as a fan of a sci/fi televison show) this belongs? As it doesn't seem to, I'll close for now and you can PM me your answer.
