Recently Nick Meyer attended a screening at Geek Magazine's 1982 Film Fest. I think there was a thread about it here, but of course few of you could actualy make it to LA but I have the next best thing. At the Geek site is an hour of video from the post-film chat with Meyer...broken into three parts

Topics:
PART 1
what changes if any he would make, Time After Time, working with limited budgets, working with Trek egos, writing the STII script

PART 2
working with Montalban, directing Shatner, why didn’t Khan & Kirk meet in person, STII’s place in the Trek franchise, the death/resurrection of Spock

PART 3
the future of the Trek franchise, the music of Star Trek VI, the differences between his vision and Gene Roddenberry’s vision of the future, and the naming of Trek movies

In addition I had a moment to interview Meyer and talk to him about some other stuff... Read it HERE

Thanks for posting. I've heard some of that before, but he's interesting to listen to.

I thought his comments in the written interview about the spacedock scene were interesting given that they were shots recycled and edited from TMP
