Most or all of the first team O-line was injured at one point or another, like in so many past years.

I guess our secondary is pretty bad now too what with letting Fuller go and other bonehead decisions.

Another one was for 13 yards. If you look at his stat line (16 carries/108 yards), he averaged about 3.8 YPC minus those two carries, which is still a miracle behind that offensive line.

If they throw Fields out there behind that offensive line, he will get killed, especially if his blitz reading skills haven't improved since the game in Buffalo.

Solid W by the Raiders on Monday night. Our young and somewhat inexperienced offensive line, didn’t look too bad, jumping offside inside the 5 yard line notwithstanding. Also, our left tackle kept getting beat to the outside, but he recovered in time often enough to prevent the sack.

Defense looked better than it has in years, but that’s a pretty low bar. Defensive front got some hurries and a couple of costly sacks. But what nearly floored me was when Lamar dropped back once, looked “up,” and I thought, uh oh, but to my shock, there was our left corner running step for step with the receiver, Gave me the vapors.

But, it’s just the first game. Hallmark of Gruden’s teams last few years is, look good early, fall apart late in the season. Worst possible way to lose.

AFC West unbeaten after game 1.

Nick Saban and Bobby Petrino are still fresh in my mind.

Word on Seattle sports radio stations this morning is that Jeff Bezos is interested in buying or becoming a majority owner of the Denver Broncos.

I really do wonder if Urban Meyer is going to survive the year...

That's got to be a horrible feeling to be a player who causes one extra down at the end of the game which turns your win into a loss.

Always found that one especially funny in hindsight; that episode aired in November 1996. The Broncos were about to win two straight Super Bowls beginning the very next season.

I expect the Bengals to be 2-0 after tomorrow’s game in Chicago.

Jason Peters is questionable and Borom is out, so the offensive line is going to be a sieve on Dalton's blind side again. Wouldn't be shocked to see him literally decapitated on the field.

I think the statistical norm used to be that the team that wins a Monday Night game is more likely tI lose the next game if it’s on the road, particularly if it’s different time zone. So, I expect the Raiders to be 1-1 after their little sojourn to Pittsburgh Sunday.

Only ask that it not be a blowout and no major injuries.

Yeah, I don't like the Raiders' chances on the road against that defense.

Game of the day is Cowboys/Chargers for me - two thrilling QBs. Then there's Chiefs/Ravens on SNF - the Mahomes/Lamar rivalry has been pretty one-sided so far.

So you think we have a chance against the Bungles?

Hopefully the 49ers win. Looking forward to actually watching my first 49ers game of the regular season.
