I haven't really kept up, but it's officially Summer Blockbuster Season...so what will the next big spoiler teaser going to be attached to?

Paramount's involvement suggests maybe Indy Jones 4?

Has it been announced or otherwise speculated about and I just missed it? Inquiring minds want to know!

I think I read somewhere (Trekmovie.com?) that they planned to have a trailer with Indy4, but they were reconsidering (at the time the story was reported) due to the movie being pushed back five months.

I read somewhere that there would not be a new teaser or trailer attached to Indy 4.

Though, there were rumors that James Cawley would be showing one with the debut of his next fanfilm... as strange as that sounds.

And, no... I have no sources for any of this. :D

Crawley just had the regular teaser at his debut last month.........

Now that it's been pushed back to summer 09, I doubt we'll see a real trailer until at least this Christmas, then the final, full-length trailer will come out in the spring.

If they're smart, they'll put something with Indy. Paramount doesn't have many films that promise a big opening like that.

I do expect something at Christmas, though. And the "final" trailer in May of 09.

Again, smart money would be a trailer this summer too, though.

Isn't "Hancock" a Paramount release? I don't remember...

Though it doesn't ahve to be Paramount; the new TDK trailer was loosely with Iron Man, a rival comic company film, and rival studios too.

They should try to get something in front of the Star Wars animated thing in August.

I reckon entertainment weekly will have an exclusive on the cover,I got a feeling august,I know theres nothing that big,but it's a big holiday time for everyone around the world,it doesn't necessarily have to be with a big movie, but that would a better IDEA TO HAVE IT WITH X-FILES OR hELLBOY 2!:techman:

I don't think we'll get anything new this summer, since they pushed back the release date. If the film were still on-track to open this Christmas, they'd have the first big theatrical trailer ready to go for the summer (possibly for Indy 4). Since the film's release is now a whole year away, they'll probably wait until the end of the year to premiere a full trailer. I suspect we may get another teaser, or perhaps one or two vague still images to keep the fanboys hanging in there for a while longer.

I don't know...Jurassic Park had a teaser with John Goodman for The Flintstones Movie that summer a full year in advance of the latter's release. It's not without precedent...and it can't hurt to create further buzz and awareness if only to whet the appetite. :)

But Trek XI has already released a teaser trailer, sixteen months ahead of the premier. I don't think it's a good idea to put out too many trailers too far in advance of the release date. They should save most of their ad budget for a blip this Christmas and then a full-blown campaign for two months before release. People have a short attention span, and you don't want anyone thinking "this movie has been supposed to be out forever... what else is on?".

Yes, people do have a short attention span but....What were we talking about??

Introducing a short trailer this summer, another longer one around Christmas, and a couple big ones two months before the opening would keep it fresh in people's minds, especially movie-goers who aren't necessarily Trekkers.
