    Well, this is great news. Fast 8 was good, but not quite up to the level of Lin's efforts for that franchise. A little too obvious reliance on CG.

    Didn't he imply he was kinda over directing trek? I vaguely remember someone asking him during stb's promotion and he was all about how it was a great experience, but he was in no hurry to make another.
    I don't honestly care one way or another because he wouldn't be my good choice for the next movie, anyway.

    aside from his memory of trek as a kid, he probably likes the F&F's franchise and its characters and stories more than the reboot and its story and characters anyway, so I guess it's good for him.
