New Zealand choosing new flag

As a Briton I rather like the union flag as a design but I can get why you would want a new flag, I think it wasn't really people wanting to keep the same flag so much as the choices not being as good as they could have been.
 
Get your shit stars off our flag.

When Scotland inevitably votes for independence and the union jack is made redundant, New Zealand (among others) will have a flag that incorporates the symbol of a union that no longer exists.

That would amuse me. I'm very pleased that this outcome may still come to pass.
 
Perhaps it was that deal where they invaded their neighbors, took control, and killed anyone who opposed them. Then visited random areas around the world and did the same things.
 
You forgot to mention that we also eat kittens. Why do people always forget that? God damn kitten slaughtering apologists.

Without the British doing that, there will be no USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
 
My heart is warmed by the fact that the wonderful people of New Zealand agreed with me on the proposed new flag being garish. :biggrin:
 
There were a few really good looking and unique options that never made it past the second round, which was a shame. If nothing else, the Black/Red/White and Black/Green/White color schemes seemed like such a better option than Black/Blue/Red/White.
