And I'm so looking forward to this episode, although the Doctor said "they said I was going to die", or something along those lines. But didn't the woman from Planet of the Dead just say "your song is ending", not that he was going to die. Tells me someone else has been telling the Doctor some new stuff to support her claim .

I'm with Peacemaker. This seems an obvious and brilliant origin for the Ice Warriors.

These would be the Ice Warriors whose civilisation on Mars rose and fell before mankind had even come down from the trees let alone travelled to other planets?

This from the guy who posted pics of the WoM infected along with a pic of an Ice Warrior saying don't they look familiar right?

And these would be the same Ice Warriors who's civilisation rose and fell before man climbed down from the trees and who yet, strangely, tried to invide Earth in the late 21st Century in Seeds of Death?

Although they wont be his final hours, there'll be another special episode after Waters of Mars before the regeneration.

Hours, plural. As in hours of television.

RTD said that PotD was the last time Doc 10 was going to ever have any fun (I'm glad someone did during that shitfest), and that all the specials have a loose arc leading to the regeneration. It was hinted at in the last ten minutes of PotD, and looks like it enters its stride in this.

Very nice. I have to admit the first trailer made this episode seem a bit hokey, but now I'm really looking forward to it (well, more than I usually do for a Doctor Who episode ).

Same, the first trailer and that rough-edit of a scene we saw a few weeks back didn't inspire me with confidence. But I have a newfound faith in RTD after Children of Earth and this trailer totally turned it around.

I'd always thought it was intentional, to prevent the competition (BBC or ITV) from scheduling some show-killer opposite their major program.
