New 'V' Battleground Involves The Children

"was revealed that Tyler (Logan Huffman) will find out who his birth father is, Jack (Joel Gretsch) will continue to question his faith and his belief that peace cannot be accomplished through armed resistance, and Erica (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Anna (Morena Baccarin) will find that they have one thing in common: They are both losing their children

Just as Tyler is seduced by the advanced technology of the Visitors, Lisa will continue to be handicapped by her emotions and empathy for the humans. This will push each further away from their own mothers and into the waiting arms of a surrogate mother figure. Tyler will align with Anna and Lisa will align with Erica -- at least for a time. Children are fickle and their attraction and desire to find something relatable and to fill the void in their hearts will draw them into worlds diametrically opposite from anything they have ever known."

"As a surprise reveal, producer Scott Rosenbaum shared that no one is safe and that fans should not get too attached to any one character. To help ratchet up the octane on this series, lives will no longer just be put at risk, but lives will be lost"

Yawn, sorry but seems more of the same boring crap from the first season and sorry i hate Tyler.

They should reveal that Tyler is the long lost Lizard Prince that Anna was sent to Earth to retrieve. He becomes her willing minion and she dresses him up in some hilarious stupid looking Lizard Prince suit that to the V's is a mark of high status.

Tyler is hopless; he needs to be a villain.

Kill off Ryan, or kill of his human suit and get rid of Morris Chestnut. Completely miscast in the role. Hand over the role of Ryan to a new human suit who's a better actor.

Give Father Jack an AK-47 and let him kick some lizard butt.

Wow.

Just when I thought the show couldn't get any more lame..........

Please dear GOD, kill Tyler off. He's a boring character, played by an inexperienced (re:bad) actor and written like he's a retarded 10 year old.

Kill him NOW. The young couple are by far the worst part of the show. And that's saying a lot.

I don't care for Tyler or Lisa, but the one thing I've found interesting in this series is the relationship between Erica and Anna that began to emerge in the penultimate episode. What the show has lacked so far is an engaging narrative focus, and when it became focused on the two mothers and their concern for their children, that actually held my attention. If they continue to build on that, it might not entirely suck.

I was hoping Tyler would die off screen and move this show into promise.
If I wanted fickle teen love and be watching Gossip Girl.

I agree, Tyler is not an interesting character...but without Erica's need to protect him, I think her character would lack soul...

I like the Ryan character. He's solid. I think the little band of resistance fighters is pretty solid, generally...

I dont think this show has yet really found its way, but there are good things--Elizabeth Mitchell, the set design, the subtle scares...I am enjoying it and dont understand the hostility to it I frequently notice.

Ryan is one of my least favorite characters, partly because the actor is an unappealing mumbler, and partly because he's incoherently written. If he's the resistance's main source of information about the Visitors, why doesn't he, you know, actually tell them anything about the Visitors' nature, their plans, etc. beyond whatever dribs and drabs the script calls for him to trickle out?

I like the Ryan character.
The character concept of Ryan is great. He should be the biggest scene-stealer in the show, instead of being one of the least successful characters. Morris Chestnut is just totally wrong for the role.

They need someone who comes across in a sharper, more dramatic, iconic way; who can behave in a believably alien way like Morena Baccarin does (but it's an even tougher job, since Ryan should also be trying to hide that behavior, yet let enough through that the audience gets the message); and convince us that he operates on a non-human level so that we understand the danger that Bliss poses. Morris Chestnut has never once convinced me that he's remotely alien, and without that, the role doesn't work at all.

For Ryan, we need a smart actor who is capable of conveying multiple levels in a subtle but effective way. Someone like Zachary Quinto, who managed to steal the show on Heroes with a badly written character that didn't deserve his talent. A well-conceived character deserves a decent actor.

If he's the resistance's main source of information about the Visitors, why doesn't he, you know, actually tell them anything about the Visitors' nature, their plans, etc. beyond whatever dribs and drabs the script calls for him to trickle out?

Well, there's that too. :rommie: They got a good concept for a character there, but they still need a good actor and decent writing.

Sounds like their going down the romeo and juliet path. But it would good to see lisa take a more active role in the fifth colomn, rather than simply replacing joshua as "the mothership informant".

I think I'm going to switch to watching this show on Blu-Ray at my own pace. It's all been more than a little disappointing.
